With TagYour.Photos, you can create hierarchical keywords in ACDSee Photo Studio at no extra cost to use to search and categorize your photos. Here are some simple steps you can use to organize your photos in ACDSee Photo Studio in a structured way and how you will get an easy photo search with hierarchical keywords in ACDSee Photo Studio.
1. Settings in TagYour.Photos
To use the hierarchical keywords generated by TagYour.Photos in ACDSee Photo Studio, you must make the following settings in TagYour.Photos:
Tagging type: hierarchical
Order: Right to left
Toplevel Landmarks: Landmarks
2. Add folder in TagYour.Photos
Add the folder in TagYour.Photos for which you would like to have keywords automatically determined.
Once all photos have been processed, this will be displayed via the status.
3. Check the keywords
If you want you can check in Windows Explorer whether the keywords were assigned correctly to your photos.
4. Settings in ACDSee Photo Studio
Open the menu Extras > Metadata > Manage metadata preferences … the metadata setting dialog box.
In the dialog box, in ACDSee Metadata, under Keywords, select Insert Metadata …. This defines which data from the metadata of the photo should be included in the ACDSee metadata.
In the Properties dialog, select IPTC > Content > Keywords. This defines that the keywords in the photo – which were determined by TagYour.Photos – are taken over into the ACDSee metadata. Confirm the dialog with OK.
Check your settings again and confirm the dialog with OK.
To save your changes, select Save as … to save your definition in a custom profile.
Set a name under which your definition should be saved. For example, select TagYour.Photos as the name and confirm the dialog with OK. Your settings will be saved.
5. Import your photos into ACDSee Photo Studio
Now you can import your photos into ACDSee Photo Studio. In the import settings at the bottom, your pre-created metadata profile TagYour.Photos must be selected.
Once the import is complete, you can see directly in your photos which keywords have been assigned to them. With these keywords, you can continue working as usual.
6. Categorize, filter or search in your photos
In the Keywords in ACDSee Photo Studio view, you can now work with your photos as you normally would. The structure of the keywords that had to be laboriously set up by hand is now directly available without further action. Completely automatically you have an easy photo search with hierarchical keywords in ACDSee Photo Studio.
You can now use the keywords as you like, for example to show all bridges from the main category Architecture.
Or you get an overview of the recognized attractions in the US.
Subsequent processing of photos
Of course, you can also have photos processed with TagYour.Photos that you have already imported into ACDSee Photo Studio. All you have to do is select your photos and select the pre-defined metadata profile TagYour.Photos in the Property Metadata. You confirm the selection with the button Apply. Then the keywords from the selected photos are transferred to the ACDSee Photo Studio keywords.
